Wooden Pergolas Offer Architecture and Shade

Builders and contractors looking to add architectural intrigue as well as functionality to an outdoor space should consider a wooden pergola. While providing shade and vertical visual interest, a pergola can create unity between an outdoor area and exterior of the home or building. Cover a dining area, a garden or an outdoor living room. Schutte Lumber has a wide selection of IPE Exotic Hardwoods, Cedars and other treated woods and decking products that would make durable and naturally beautiful pergolas. If you want to get creative with the design, our expert craftsmen can also help you create arches and brackets for your pergola in our on-site mill. Here are some examples we found of some well-designed and well-built pergolas.

Let our selection of fine woods at Schutte Lumber inspire an eye-catching pergola structure, and come visit our showroom and lumberyard at 3001 Southwest Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri. We’ll set you up with all the materials and supplies you will need.

I found it interesting when you said that cedars and other treated woods will make durable and naturally beautiful pergolas. My dad wants to hire pergola builders to do some renovation in his backyard. I think I will talk to him about considering using treated woods from a professional company.
