Harvard: Remodeling Activity Increasing

Good news. “With home sales picking up and contractors seeing more positive business conditions 
in the future, remodeling activity (will grow) by the end of this year and into 2013,” Harvard’s Joint Center for Housing Studies reports.
In related news, railroad shipments of lumber have increased–a positive indicator for the new housing market, Reuters states.
